AAir Inflator
An electric piece of equipment used to blow air to inflate balloons.
Aluminum Rod
A thin rod used to bend into shapes to create sculptures.
Arch
A sculpture shaped in an arch. Built from clusters of helium balloons packed tightly together on a line or air filled balloon clusters packed onto an arched condiut pole (packed arch). You can also make an arch by tying individual helium balloons onto a line (pearl arch).
Arrangement
A grouping of balloons or other materials placed together to create a visually pleasing display.
BBalloon Drop
A group of air-filled balloons pouring out of a net over an event. The net is rigged to the ceiling.
Balloon Release
A group of helium-filled latex balloons released into the atmosphere to create a special effect. Refer to the California Balloon Law.
Base Plate
A heavy metal plate used as the weight when building columns or structures.
Betallatex
Brand of latex balloons manufactured by Betallic.
Bouquet
A grouping of balloons in an eye appealing arrangement.
CCalifornia Balloon Law
Never use foil or metallic ribbon on helium-filled balloons. Tie each helium-filled foil balloon to a weight or anchor separately. Do not tie ribbons of helium-filled foil balloons to other balloons to create clusters or groups of helium-filled balloons.
Care Card
A small informational card attached to a balloon arrangement. It includes information about how to care for the balloon arrangement as well as promotional company information.

Centerpiece
An arrangement designed for a table to be viewed from all sides.
Cluster
A grouping of three to six balloons connected together by the necks of the balloons used to build balloon garlands, arches, columns and swags.
Collar
A cluster of balloons twisted on to the neck of a larger balloon.
Column
A straight vertical line of balloon garland made by attaching clusters of balloons to a pole or line.
Conduit
A metal tube used to build columns or balloon structures. Found at the hardware store. The most common size used in balloon décor is a 1/2". Cut the conduit pole to desired length.
Cool Glue
A low temperature glue used to attach décor to balloons. The temperature is low enough it will not pop latex balloons.
DDacron Line
A 50 lb. white string used to build balloon décor and sculptures.
Double Bubble Latex
Insert smaller size latex balloon inside a larger 16" - 18" latex balloon. Inflate the larger balloon 2/3 capacity. Then inflate the smaller balloon, which will inflate the larger balloon to full capacity.
Double Stuffed Balloon
Insert a latex balloon into the same size latex balloon. Inflate the inside balloon, the outer balloon will stretch around the inside balloon.
Duplet
Two balloons tied together by the necks of the balloons. Two duplets can be twisted together to make a 4-balloon cluster.
GGarland
Clusters of balloons packed tightly on a line or pole that interlock in a linear format to create a solid chain of balloons. Different patterns can be created depending on the placement of colored balloons. Arches, columns, swags and sculptures can be formed using garland.
HHeat Sealer
An electrical piece of equipment used to seal the necks of 4" and 9" foil balloons.
Helium
An inert gas that is lighter than air. When balloons are inflated with helium, they float. Helium will not burn or explode. It is an odorless, tasteless gas.
Hi-Float™, Ultra
A liquid gel used to coat and seal the pores inside latex balloons to increase float time up to twenty times longer than without Ultra Hi-Float™.
LLink-O-Loon
Brand of latex balloon manufactured by Betallatex that can be tied end to end to form arches and balloon sculptures without using fishing line or Dacron line.
MMag Pole
Aluminum and fiberglass extension pole designed to install overhead displays and decor. Five telescoping sections ranging 5'3" to 18 feet for reaching ceilings with ease, no ladder required.
MagMover™
Tools with post for supporting RingMagnets until they reach the ceiling and corkscrews for removing them. Variety of sizes.
Mylar ®
Trademark of Dupont Corporation. Mylar is a flexible, metalized material. Foil balloons are made from a material that looks like Mylar, but is not Mylar. It is not possible to manufacture foil balloons from Mylar.
NNitrogen
A compressed gas used in place of air to inflate balloons.
Nozzle
The piece of the regulator that starts and stops the flow of gas.
PPackaged
(PKG) A balloon that is individually wrapped to easily hang on balloon rack for retail sale.
Packed
A term referring to the process of building a garland. The clusters of balloons on the line are closely placed together so they interlock.
Pearl Arch
An arch made with individual balloons tied directly to the line. The arch resembles a string of pearls. The balloons in the arch are uniformly spaced and sized.

Regulator
A piece of equipment that attaches to the helium tank to regulate the amount of helium that is released from the tank.

Shredded paper used as filler material.
Spiral
A garland pattern in which the balloons are systematically arranged to create a spiral effect in the garland.

Shredded paper used as filler material.
Swag
An air-filled balloon garland that is usually secured to the ceiling and curves from two or more points.
WWraphia
A ribbon made from a paper material.
